Awards

Every year we celebrate Certitude teams and individuals who go ‘above and beyond’ at our annual Michael Rosen Awards.

In a year filled with unexpected and unique challenges, it felt more important than ever to acknowledge some of the incredible work that happened across our organisation to ensure people we support continue to live happy lives which work for them.

The ceremony was co-hosted online in December 2020 by CEO Aisling Duffy and Eleri Ebenezer, our Chair of Trustees, who sadly passed away in August. Awards were given for Volunteer, Inspiring Leader, Colleague, Transforming Lives and Team and for the first time, we introduced a Special Recognition Award which went to our hardworking COVID Task Team

The Michael Rosen Award is the ultimate accolade and is presented to a person or team that the judges feel best represents Certitude’s value. As is tradition, Sheila Rosen, who established the award in her husband Michael’s name, presented the award. This year it was awarded to the Community Development Team and all the people who work together to deliver our Connect & Do programme.

Sheila said:

“Without doubt, the winner of this year’s Michael Rosen Award has shown Certitude’s values. Over the past few months, this small team – along with talented peer facilitators – have kept people across Certitude entertained, motivated and able to learn new skills and enjoy different interests. From laughing yoga to choirs, art and sewing, they have created a weekly programme of activities that are now available not just within Certitude, but to anyone, anywhere!”
