Our approach to health and wellbeing is about creating an environment and the resources to help everyone look after their health and wellbeing in the way that suits them best.

Occupational Sick Pay: All permanent and fixed-term employees who have passed their probation are entitled to Occupational Sick Pay.
Occupational Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental pay: We offer Occupational Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental leave, and other enhanced levels of family friendly leave.
Employee assistance programme: The Employee Assistance Helpline provides information, advice and counselling on a variety of personal and workplace issues and is available to employees and their family.
Occupational health: provides guidance to the organisation on the best ways to support colleagues with their health condition.
We have the following groups to support the health and wellbeing of our colleagues.
Volunteers from across the organisation are part of this group. This group meets on a regular basis to discuss what can be done to support colleagues health and wellbeing within Certitude. Some of things the group has worked on include:
- Setting up wellbeing awareness days calendar
for the year to mark important events throughout the year.
- Putting together a library of health and wellbeing resources on the internal intranet page.
Our Wellbeing Champions are colleagues who are trained mental health first aiders. They volunteer their time to promote health and wellbeing practices within Certitude and act as a point of contact for colleagues with wellbeing queries.
We recognise that a lot of our colleagues have caring responsibilities outside of work. The Carers Group has been set up to both understand the support they need from Certitude and develop how we can put this in place for them.
