Both our Diversity and Inclusion Business Partner, Pamela Sinnott and Treat Me Right! Project Manager Helen Watkins received recognition at 2024's Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards ceremony in London.
Pamela won the Equality and Diversity Award, and said she was deeply humbled to have won amongst such a formidable group of women who are dedicated to diversity and inclusion. She added;
"This award truly belongs to everyone at Certitude. Successful Diversity and Inclusion requires the collective effort of our board, executive team, colleagues, and the families and people we support. A huge thank you to everyone for their ongoing support."
Helen was highly commended in the Social Change Agent Award category. She said;
"It was such an honour to be a finalist, and to have the red carpet treatment at the ceremony, that I felt that the outcome didn’t matter. It was such a brilliant recognition to be named alongside all the other spectacular, talented, compassionate and innovative women in my category and beyond. To be Highly Commended is just mind blowing! I believe we should always be evolving our practice and knowledge and this has spurred me on to keep going."
Pamela and Helen were accompanied to the glittering event, held at the Hilton Bankside, London, by Board member Susie Young. Speaking after the event, Susie said the awards were well deserved by both Pamela and Helen in their contributions to our work, adding "Last night was a proud moment to be part of Certitude."
Congratulations to all of the finalists at this year's awards. You can see a full list of the winners here.
