Why did you choose to run for certitude?
I work for Certitude and thought it would be a good idea to participate on one of our events.

While training what have you found most challenging and how did you overcome that?
I have done very little training as my knee has been playing up, but I will finish the race.

Do you have any top tips for people looking to start running or are currently training for their first marathon?
The hardest step is the one that gets you out of bed, thereafter you can tackle any dream you want.

How many marathons have you run?
2 Marathons (42,2km) & 2 Ultra Marathons (56km) – all long ago

A fun fact about yourself?
I will probably walk most of the way on Saturday so come and join me.

Why did you choose to run for certitude?
Certitude is a great charity that really makes a difference on a ground roots level. Seema often talks about the projects she gets involved in, with those you support and how much of a difference it makes to their everyday lives.

While training what have you found most challenging and how did you overcome that?
First it was the rain and now the heat. The weather has really made it uncomfortable to train but support shown by those donating and Seema of course nagging me has pushed me to train at least 3/4 times a week.

Do you have any top tips for people looking to start running or are currently training for their first marathon?
Just focus on your own run, don’t worry about coming 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc just focus on enjoying the run, knowing your limits to help prevent injury and try making a run a social thing. For example, I recently joined park run, which had really made the run more enjoyable as I am doing it with others and making new friends along the way.

A fun fact about yourself.
I once walked into a tiger enclosure with several tigers during my visit to an animal sanctuary.
