Congratulations to Veronica Harris and Romeo Robles who have both been shortlisted as finalists in this year’s National Learning Disability & Autism Awards.
Veronica is nominated for the Supporting Older People with Learning Disabilities Award after being a Shared Lives Carer for the same person for over 30 years. Having recently shared her story in a shared lives case study, she was overjoyed to have been nominated, saying
“30 years is a long time, and I haven’t stopped to mark the occasion. This is a fantastic way to celebrate our lives together”.
Romeo is nominated for the Support Worker Award after previously winning the ‘We make a difference’ Colleague Award at our 2023 Excellence Awards Ceremony in December. Romeo said he was overwhelmed with the news, adding;
“I have no words. This is the best Achievement and accomplishment for me.”
We’d like to wish both of our finalists good luck for the awards ceremony, which they will be invited to attend on the 21st June in Birmingham, where all of the winners will be announced.
