Impact Report: Diversity and Inclusion

Supporting a fair and inclusive workforce

Our roots are embedded in providing culturally inclusive support in London.

Over 30 years ago, in recognition of the specific cultural needs of diverse communities in South London we set out to help address the inequalities experienced by black men in accessing good quality mental health support.

Our commitment to inclusivity for people with learning disabilities, autistic people and to fight against disparities in mental health support, is a value that runs throughout Certitude to this day – in all that we do.

While many things have changed since we first began supporting Londoners in the early nineties, society still has a long way to go in terms of equity, diversity and inclusion. At Certitude we are always striving to be better.

Supporting people to live the lives they want is not a one-size-fits-all, and respecting, valuing and celebrating our differences is fundamental in providing effective support.

This impact report celebrates through people’s stories the steps we’ve taken in the last year to move further forward in creating a fully diverse and inclusive workforce, so that all colleagues, everyone we support, and their families can thrive and live the lives they want.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to pushing boundaries and challenging ourselves to create a truly inclusive organisation that celebrates the uniqueness of every individual. This report highlights our achievements over the last year and sets the stage for our ongoing journey towards a more diverse, equitable and inclusive Certitude.
