The Importance of Investing and Believing in Colleagues
Our focus on valuing our people, fostering learning and development and promoting growth and progression has yielded remarkable results. Paying the equivalent of London Living Wage as a minimum has been a pivotal milestone for our colleagues and has positively impacted on our vacancy level. We have one of the highest rates of colleague retention in the sector – yet what fills me with the most pride is not just the numbers, but the individual stories of growth, compassion and achievement that lie behind these statistics.
What stands out most prominently in this report is the sense of belonging colleagues feel within Certitude. Each story illustrates the power of investing – and believing – in people.
From Ivana, who found a supportive community and a sense of purpose at Certitude, to Romeo, who went from VIP lounge host to dedicated support worker.
These stories, and many others, show what can happen when people with ambition, compassion and a desire to make a difference are valued and supported.
We will continue to support each other, celebrate our achievements and strive for excellence in all we do. We are committed to our mission of providing high quality support so people can live connected, fulfilling and creative lives.
