Brighton News Story

Certitude has been awarded a new contract in Brighton and Hove, marking an important milestone in our growth journey.

Working in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council, we will provide person-centred support to 14 people with learning disabilities, helping them live fulfilling lives in three residential care homes.

From 3 February 2026, the dedicated teams currently supporting these homes for Brighton & Hove City Council will join Certitude, and we look forward to welcoming them into our wider Certitude community. We are currently working closely with the council to ensure a smooth transition for the people we will support, their families, and our new colleagues.

Certitude has a proven track record of delivering person-centred, high-quality support in London, and this new contract gives us the opportunity to bring that same expertise and excellence to Brighton and Hove. We will create a new locality that reflects the best of what we do elsewhere - building strong connections, empowering people to live the life they want, and providing outstanding support. This is an exciting step in our plan to grow beyond London and share Certitude’s values with new communities.

Emma Main, Executive Director for Operations and Quality at Certitude, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract. It gives us the opportunity to bring Certitude’s proven approach to supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people into a new area, ensuring they receive the same high-quality, person-centred support we are well known for. We look forward to working closely with Brighton & Hove City Council and welcoming our new colleagues to the wider Certitude community.”

Councillor Mitchie Alexander, Brighton & Hove City Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities, Equalities, Public Health and Adult Social Care, said: “This is an important step in ensuring people with learning disabilities in our city continue to receive the best possible care and support.

“We’re committed to working with partners who share our values, and Certitude brings a strong track record of person-centred support. We look forward to seeing this partnership help residents live more independent and fulfilling lives, while supporting staff through a smooth and positive transition.”
