We have joined over 2,000 signatories from the social care sector calling for an immediate review of the measures laid out in 2025 Government budget.
The letter, which was sent to Rachel Reeves, follows the announcement of the new Budget measures, including the rise in National Insurance contributions, and the impact that is expected to have on social care providers.
The letter calls for an immediate review of these measures and for the establishment of exemptions similar to those granted to the NHS. Alternatively, it asks that ‘the Local Government Finance settlement be urgently adjusted to bridge this funding gap’.
