Training and consultancy
Our Treat Me Right! team offer training and consultancy to organisations across all sectors on how to support different minds in our communities.
We have a long history of employing people with a learning disability and/or autism in our Treat Me Right! team to provide uniquely different perspectives from a range of lived experience and professional backgrounds.
Whether you’re a business, organisation, community group or project, we can offer you help with the following:
- Focus groups - we can facilitate and deliver focus groups around a range of topics
- Training – bespoke training on a range of topics, including Learning Disability and Autism awareness, communication and reasonable adjustments
- Easy Read Materials – we can produce our own or provide advice on your own
- Sensitivity and common-sense checks of materials
- Consultancy – we can provide advice on how to make your service, business or premises more accessible and user friendly
- Quality Checks - we can provide an assessment of your service, business or premises from a lived experience perspective
- Supported Employment – we can provide advice on how to best support your employees, as well as providing a range of employment opportunities
- Event/Public speaking – we have spoken at several local and national events on a range of topics, including inclusivity, co-production, supported employment and how we work together as a team
I just wanted to say thank you for working with London Fire Brigade to ensure we capture the views and lived experience of people with disability. It was a real privilege to be able to meet all of the group members
